Arrival Story:
Well how I became the proud owner of this love bug!!.. My ex and his girlfriend were the original owners of Harley. And his name was Stripes (there one year old named him.) And unfortunetly my little buddies life didn't start out so great. He was taken away from his Mom way too early and brought into a home where he was loved for all about two weeks of my oldest daughters winter break while she stayed with her dad. When it was time for her to only be with them on weekends Harley's world was then turned around! Abused horribly whenever the two of them would fight he would beat the dog cause it was hers. My ex's girlfriend) Never properly fed or watered. Had no idea what outside was like on a consistant basis because these people thought they could paper train him cause they were to lazy to take him out cause it was cold out. The only time he got the love and care he deserved was when my daughter was there for visits. One fine afternoon I was picking up my daughter and she told me how he was cared for.. I was physically ill. And the girlfriend told me they were going to have to get rid of him because he wasn't as cute as she thought he would be.. I piped up and said I am taking him home with me right this minute! They didn't want me too at first just because it was me and didn't want me to tell the people that owned his mom to find out how he was treated! My husband was less than impressed at first. mostly because we were in no position to have a dog we lived with family at the time. But I brought my baby home with me anyway! He has ever since that day been LOVED and SPOILED the way he deserves. And is now 1 yr old. And the best friend any family could ever ask for.
