I was actually looking for a service dog. And since I love Huskies since I was little ( I loved there intelligence, hard to train, love of running, just there approach to life!) I checked into the Husky rescue of New Mexico he set me up with a beautiful girl that is low energy, low prey drive, and loves people, she has to be with people!
They found her as a stray in Dallas. And she had another husky attack her over winter break. So guess what? She had dog fear reactivity when I first got her. After some work she does well at the dog park. We are now working on her being introduced on leash to dogs. She is wonderful other than that! Gets along well with the cats, loving, calm, fairly easy to train, and great. Hopefully we survive the initial "manners" training/rehab. Any other Husky help is greatly appreciated!
