Nicknames: Austin Boxer Rescue Arrival Story: Nemo is a precious white boxer with a darling black patch around his right eye. He is about 5 years old and is the picture of health. Nemo has excellent overall manners -- he is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is good about going in his crate. Nemo has the softest fur. He will curl up on the sofa or next to you on the floor and he is the sweetest boy.
Nemo's foster family describes his energy level as "medium" -- he loves to go on daily walks but beyond that he's content to hang around the house where he is very well behaved and calm. He has a very sweet disposition and is very friendly to everyone he meets. Nemo does very well with children of any age and has done well when he's been around horses and other farm animals. Nemo's pack dynamics changed recently in his former home and it was hard on Nemo. The "alpha female" in the house passed away and the result was that Nemo and the other dog in the house, who had previously lived in harmony, no longer got along. This is not uncommon after the death of an alpha dog. Currently Nemo is living in a foster home with other dogs and is getting along beautifully with everyone. We think he would do fine in a home with other dogs but we would suggest slow introductions. So far, Nemo is not cat friendly. I have 2 cats and he barks at them.
This sweet boy has stolen the hearts of numerous ABR volunteers and we know that he is going to be a cherished member of the family for whoever is willing to give him a chance.
