 Birthday: January 2nd 2005
Likes: Cuddling, chewing on everything, and chasing his ball

Pet-Peeves: Being left alone; being forced to take his allergy pills :(

Favorite Toy: Stuffed Camel & Moose, Lufa Dog, Bacon Nylabone, and of course any ball he can chase.

Favorite Food: Eukanuba puppy chow, Carry-Out Treats, Peanut Butter Kong Treats!

Favorite Walk: Mommy and daddy like to walk me to Kroger each night so they can get dinner and I can go meet new people!

Best Tricks: Chasing his ball. Sitting and laying down on command (when he feels like it).

Arrival Story: My friend Margo was talking to me about how fulfilling it is to own a dog. My whole life I've never owned a real pet because I'm extremely allergic to fur. She told me that dogs crossed with poodles are excellent for people who have allergies. So, I started looking on the internet. I looked at a lot of different "poo" crosses, but my favorite was the Maltepoo. Toy Maltepoos seemed to be hard to come by in Kentucky. I didn't want to have to fly my new puppy here. So, the next time I was in Ohio I decided to check the classifieds, and found a wonderful breeder only 40 minutes from where I was staying. I went to look at the puppies that night. Although all of their Maltepoos were adorable, I fell in love with Dakota. I had to be out of town that next week for work, so I asked if I could pick him up as soon as I got back in town. I counted down the days until I could go get my little cutie. I'm so happy that I made the decision to get him. He brings so much life to the apartment! He's now getting his own personality (and attitude). It's precious to watch him grow and learn.

Bio: Daddy is a small Poodle and mommy is a Maltese. Dakota was born in Georgetown, OH.

I went and stayed at grandma and papa's house for a while. It was so fun. Mommy says that I got spoiled going on two walks a day. I was really happy to see my mommy though. Grandma and papa told me that they were taking me home, but when we got to this place they called home, it wasn't my home! It was my furniture, but not my house. Mommy said that she had to move and I would have been too much of a help. So, I guess that's why I was at grandma's house. I've gotten to like our new house. I have my own room and a fun running area around the furniture. Mommy calles it the "Dakota Speedway". I like to run around it at night before I go to bed! I also have my own backyard. Mommy says it's because we don't live in an apartment anymore. I love it:) I'm so happy we moved!

Mommy took me to the doctor a couple days ago. My mommy was asking my doctor if my teeth all came in well. I showed mommy how pretty my new teeth are and how they are perfect. My doctor said a big word. She said I needed four teeth extracted! It sounds scary. My mommy said that four of my baby teeth didn't fall out when my big boy teeth came in. I guess that's why my mouth sometimes hurts when i chew on my bone. Mommy said I have to go back to the doctors office to get my baby teeth pulled! OH NO!! I'm scared!

I've been in puppy class for two months now at Petsmart. My mommy says that I'm doing a good job. I've learned how to sit-stay, down-stay, wait, come, and I've learned how to do a puppy push-up (sit-down-sit). I was one of the only puppies that could do the puppy push-up. Most of the other dogs in my class are really big even though they are my age, but I wasn't scared to stand up to them and show them that I could do my tricks! Mommy said that I graduated. I guess that means that I'm done with class. It must have something to do with all of the pictures after class with that funny hat on my head. I'm sad that class is over. Mr. Dan was really nice. He always gave out treats! Mommy said I can go to other class in the fall. Yay!!!
