Arrival Story: Gabby was left in a fenced in area while her owners went out of town. My neighborhood came & got me saying something was wrong with his neighbors dog. Gabby (then known as Squirrel) was a six month old puppy without food or water on the verge of death from tick paralysis. She's was only able to move her tongue, she had pressure sores & ants all over her. I picked her up & carried her home. I bathed her, picked the ticks off, and gave her Pedialyte with a syringe, & slept with her that night on my porch. I took her to the vet the next day & they said she also had severe demodectic mange (flared up from the stress of tick paralysis). When her owners returned I told them they could either give her to me or I would call animal control....she's been with me ever since. She's over the mange although it was a long hard battle. She's adores me & I adore her.
Bio: Gabby's mom was a purebred Catahoula Leopard & her dad was unknown. Bear is Gabby's firstborn puppy from her first & only litter (she's been spayed since).
