Pet-Peeves: He's a grumpy boy but having his toenails clipped really gets him PO'd.

Favorite Food: McDonald's cheeseburger - hold the pickles, onion, ketchup and mustard. Anything that anyone else is eating.
Favorite Walk: The Sands at Port Royal - he loves to chase those fiddler crabs!
Best Tricks: camera posing, puppydog eyes, snuggling up to you when you are sad.
Arrival Story: We bought Syrus from a flea market. The people selling him had 3 pups, and were trying to get rid of them by marking down the price really low. We figured if we didn't get him, he would either be abandoned or worse...
We found out he had demodectic mange when he was around 8-9 weeks old. His hair began to fall out, and he had horrible pus-filled scabby pimples all over his body. It took us about 5 months to treat him with ivermectin and now he is a beautiful happy boy! Demodectic mange is a heredetary disease that is not contagious. It seems to be common in bull breeds especially here in the south due to bad breeding. Dogs with this disease should be neutered/spayed.
Bio: Syrus is truly a momma's boy. He only likes to sleep in the bed under the covers next to momma. Syrus likes to play with other dogs, but sometimes he gets jealous and doesn't like it when momma pets another dog too much. Syrus also has a personal vendetta against squirrels, and if he suspects there is a squirrel in the vicinity, he will try to jump into the tree to get it. Syrus is sometimes scared of his own shadow, knows exactly what the vet is up to when she distracts him with a stupid biscuit, and has to sniff every boo-boo that mommy inspects. Syrus loves his human family, and gets so excited when someone visits, that he has to pick up the nearest object and give it to that person as a gift. Syrus loves his little sister Bibi but will never admit it.

Smooshie Says: Little sisters are a pain in the tooshie. But little brothers are even worse. Now I have to put up with a 70 lb pointer/bulldog mix named Louie who can't tell the difference between his head and his butt. He thinks he's boss but boy is he ever wrong.
Syrus has finally caught a squirrell. Now he has a bloodthirst for furry rodents and our backyard which was once a small piece of nature's paradise is now a barren wasteland where no animal dares to enter. Good job, Syrus.
today we went to the sands like we do everyday, except today there were dolphins swimming close to shore! Mommy threw the ball into the water and as we were going to fetch it, four fins went right in front of us! Bibi and I swam out to sniff the dolphins, who were playing just like we were! I swam as fast as I could to the spot where the dolphins were playing, and the all of a sudden a big burst of bubbles came up under me! We wanted to play with them more, but we were swimming out too far from the beach and mommy made us come back. Maybe next time we go to the sands, our dolphin buddies will be out there playing too!

BiBi needs a spanking, cause everytime I chew on something that's MINE, she gets mad and starts yelling at me, then mommy shows up and TAKES IT AWAY from me! That Brat!
