Arrival Story:
Chance has had 3 chances. After the Atlanta Beagle Rescue saved him, he was adopted. Sadly, he was returned back to the Beagle Rescue because he needed some training. Chance is now in a new foster home where he is learning doggie manners. He is a very smart boy, and he will be ready to go to his furever home in no time!

Bio:
* 4/2/12 Chance is a Novice Trick Dog!!* What a lucky boy Chance has been! And oddly enough, his luck started when his family turned him in to a shelter! He had a pretty severe injury to his mouth that the owners said was an untreated snake bite. The shelter loved him and worked very hard to find him rescue, which they did when Atlanta Beagle Rescue stepped up to help. When the vets took a look at him they were shocked - they had never seen an injury like his. We all suspected that it was no snake-bite; it was contained to the lower left jaw and involved both tissue in the lips and gum and the bone. Thanks to generous donors we got Chance to a specialist (Northlake Veterinary Surgery).Once they had x-rays though the doctors saw that the bulk of the supporting jaw bone looked just fine. The took off the weird plaque mass and cleaned out the infection and pulled the rotting adult teeth that were under all this weird stuff and started Chance on antibiotics. Chance is making an excellent recovery. We will never know what really happened, but the vet seemed to think that Chance chomped on a plugged in electrical cord and shocked himself. He must have been in excruciating pain for who knows how long. He was pretty skinny when he got to us, but he is slowly gaining weight.
