Arrival Story: Poor little Zeus was found running the streets of Salinas (about an hour south of us) on December 1, 2011. He was picked up and taken to the local shelter before being picked up by Toy Breed Rescue a few days latter. He went through 4 places before finding his way to his forever home.
Bio: Written October 2012:
Zeus was over a pound underweight when we picked him up. He is very food obsessive and thinks every meal is his last. He has gotten better over time but may never get over it.
He has separation anxiety but, like the food, has gotten a lot better. I am able to tell him to stay, open the door and walk out and he won't run out anymore. Now we just need to work with him outside of the home and in the car! (Daddy stays with him in the car while I run out and still freaks out. He has to be with Mommy!)
Zeus is also starting to behave like a dog! Toys are being played with, heads are outside of the car window, and playful barks are more frequent. His big brother Odysseus (Bombay cat) has been dying to play with him since day 1 so this is very good news.
