Arrival Story:
Santa is a handsome fawn boy with a fantastic personality. This five year old guy can put a smile on his foster families' faces even after the most trying of days: he meets them at the door then spins in circles and prances around the house like a deer to show them how happy he is that they came home! Santa's foster family describes him as spunky, fun, and smart. He has been very quick to pick up commands and learn the rules. Overall his manners are excellent -- he walks well on a leash, is house trained and is crate trained. His favorite activities are jogging, playing tug of war with the other dogs, and sunbathing in the yard. He also loves to follow his family around the house and is content to just lay in the same room while they cook or do other activities. He is truly "Man's Best Friend" -- he bonds very closely with men and likes to sleep on a dog bed near his foster dad's side of the bed. Santa has not been tested with cats or kids but does very well with the other dogs in his foster home. His only issue so far is that he has not taken kindly to one of his foster siblings trying to steal his cookie, so his forever family should be aware to manage feeding time carefully. All in all Santa is a major catch! This healthy boy is ready to settle into his forever home.
