Arrival Story: We met Roxy when we were looking for a friend for Margot at Chicago Animal Care and Control (the city pound) where the staff had named her "Punkin." She was in a small cage by the entrance of the room where they kept all the dogs. She was marked for adoption, but I think the people decided not to take her. She was a little less fluffy and a lot smaller back then (approximately 6.5lbs - she's almost 20 now). We couldn't help but put our fingers through the cage to pet her - and she reciprocated by pushing her body against the front of the cage. We decided to try and adopt her. We also decided to change her name to Roxy, which we though was a better reflection of her punk rock looks and personality.
