Likes:
Having my butt scratched!, getting kisses on the cheek from Mom

Pet-Peeves:
Other dogs, motorcycles, bicycles, skateboards...I get pretty aggressive over anything with wheels

Favorite Walk:
Quiet streets, away from yippie dogs and bikes/skateboards

Best Tricks:
sit, paw, place my paws GENTLY (surprisingly!) on Mom's/Dad's chest when they pat both hands there, slapping my hands really fast on the floor while sitting and waiting not-so-patiently for a treat!

Arrival Story:
Mom was looking for a sibling for Sadie and fell in love with me. I have been best friends to Sadie for two years now, but all of a sudden I want to be the only dog and have started to attack her in our home. I have always been picky about dogs, but loved my sister. My parents want to find me a home that can devote all their love to me.

Bio:
My breed is a guess (although I do look an awful lot like a manatee, don't I?). I was rescued from a local pound (where I was going to be put to death) by a wonderful woman who runs a private rescue. My mom and dad then adopted me and I have been living with my pit bull sister for a little over two years now. I am such a lover to all humans, but have never gotten along well with other dogs except my sister Sadie. That all changed though when my mom (who is an officer in the Navy) came back from deployment. I became extremely possessive of her and started attacking Sadie at random times. My mom and dad believe I had a tortured life before coming to them. My mind was a mess and I was always fearful of something, turning to aggression as my response. It was the hardest thing they've ever had to do, but I am now finally at peace and don't have to worry about anything anymore.

I've Finally Found My Forever Home

Hopping into Spring!

So since I'm still relatively new to my family (only about 2 months), I really shocked them today with my CRAZY moves!

Here's the story: my Dad's sister and boyfriend came over to play with me and Sadie (because who doesn't love us?!), and Sadie and I were wrestling, and all of a sudden Dad grabs me to join in the wrestle, and I go WILD! Mom says it's like I was a cat on catnip!! I started HOPPING all over the place! Literally, hopping!! They thought it was so weird, I don't get it. I mean, I just tuck my butt under and run really fast and then jump all over the place--the couch, on top of my cage (whoops!!), Mom, Dad, aunt's boyfriend Dave. It's like they've never seen an 80 lb bunny. Dave wasn't really laughing though... apparently he didn't like having an 80 lb me jump right on his shin. What?! It's just gonna leave a huge bruise. It's like a welcome to the family kind of thing. Mom has them ALL OVER her legs...and she still laughs when I hop. Come on, it's Spring!

Wanna hear something gross?!

So sometimes, I get REALLY excited over drinking water. I am not a licker, either... I'm a GULPER. Yup, I drink a ton at a time on occasion and this morning I threw it all back up. Gross, huh? Mom thought I was so silly. She saw me gulping away and said Julia, that's enough, but I didn't listen. So then I rushed over to eat my breakfast and after a couple bites it all came back up. A huge puddle of water and not-at-all-chewed kibbles. Like I have time to chew?! It's a dog eat dog world out there... I don't know where, but it's out there, and I have to be on my toes!

Starting My New Life!

I have finally found my forever home! My new mom and dad love me sooo much... I never knew people could love me this much. I even have a new sister! Life couldn't get any better! She isn't afraid to wrestle with me (like most dogs are) and she's a good cuddler too! I'm so glad I found my home... I've had a rough life so far, and I deserve to be loved.

I was most likely abused by my original owners because I am sometimes afraid of being petted on the head. I have some scars on the top of my head, as well. These owners also made me wear a huge spiked collar... so no one would come near me, and I HATED that because I'm SUCH A LOVEBUG at heart! I was also a young mommy. Unfortunately, no one knows what happened to my babies. I had them right before I was picked up as a stray on the streets. Then the shelter that ended up with me had me scheduled for death because I was a "bully" breed, but a wonderful woman came and saved me and made it possible for my new parents to find me!

The good news is... now I get to be treated like a big baby! All of a sudden I am such a spoiled girl... and I'M LOVING IT! This is where I belong! They'll even scratch right above where my tail is supposed to be, if I lean my butt into them with all my might! I'm so excited for my new life!!
