Gotcha Date: December 26th 2011 Birthday: July 28th 2011 Likes: Cody loves long walks, playing with his friends in the dog park and his many toys inside! Pet-Peeves: Coyotes howling in the field! Favorite Toy: His Blue Squeeky Toy! Favorite Food: Lately, it's been his Nyla Bone! Favorite Walk: Anywhere in our large complex! Best Tricks: Cody has completed a beginner obedience class. He is very good at sit, lay down, come, leave it and drop it. He loves to give us a "High Five" before getting a treat! Arrival Story: We met Cody on Christmas Eve of 2011 when he was with his brother and foster Mom. We fell in love with him on the spot. After some conversation, we agreed to bring him to our home on Monday, Dec. 26th to see if he was a good fit. When that morning came, we could only wait until 10:00 AM. Cody is a pure delight to be around. He is a playful puppy and loves to cuddle on our WVU blankets. We feel so lucky to have found him and adopt him!
As my subject said, it's SUNNY here today. A big difference from yesterday when it was cloudy, very windy, rainy and just down right cold! I did get a surprise after dinner last night, when the sun came out and Mom and Dad let me play in the dog park for awhile. It was a little bit muddy, but they said I needed the time out to run and play! I have the BEST humans ever!
I was really tired when we got back in, so I got my treat (for being good), a drink of water, and ice cube, then I took a long nap! Good thing, because the coyotes and a loud bird kept me up most of the night! I felt the need to bark at them and Mom felt the need to tell me to stop! (TEE HEE)
I'm wishing ALL my friends a wonderful long Memorial Day weekend with their friends and humans!
It's not raining here today and that, in itself, is something to wag your tail about!!
My day started out with sleeping in until 8! WHOO HOOO....I made Mom and Dad happy since that meant that they could sleep in too! Mom took me out for a quick walk and I took care of all my "business"!! After we came back in, Mom was searching in the pantry for something and one of the shelves broke, bringing cans and bottles down with a BANG! That really scared me! Then, one of the jars of Verde sauce broke, so Dad and I were regulated to the bedroom while Mom cleaned up everything. Mom and Dad left me for awhile to go run errands, but fed me lunch when they got home and Mom took me to the Dog Park YIPPEE!!
Now, I think I'll rest a bit. I wasn't feeling very well yesterday, but Mom couldn't tell because I was not behaving very well. After I threw up at bedtime, I felt much better!

It seems like old man winter just refuses to let go as Mom had to wear her winter coat and gloves today on our walks. I really didn't mind the temps, but hated getting wet!
I don't know what is up with my behavior, but I've been sent to my room 3 times today! Geesh! I think it is all about nipping Mom when I'm too impatient to wait for her to do something for me. She told me I've got to figure out a different way to show her what I want and even showed me a few ways. I like the nipping better, but hate it when Mom gets mad at me. Maybe next time, I'll pay more attention to her.
It's almost time to settle down for the night. The sun has gone down and I feel a nap coming on!
