Gotcha Date: November 15th 2009 Birthday: April 1st 2009 Likes: Unstuffing toys, eating her sister's leg and barking like a lunatic at people who cut through the property. Pet-Peeves: The aforementioned tresspassers. Favorite Toy: Anything the other dog has. Favorite Food: "Food-gitives" when Daddy is cooking. Favorite Walk: The nearby nature reservation so she can go swimming. Best Tricks: Agility course, jumping and 'gimmie smoochie'. Arrival Story: Cayenne came from a high-kill shelter in South Carolina and was being fostered in Lyndhurst, New Jersey when we met her. She had the very un-Catahoula name of Montanna and the very Catahoula brat disposition that they are notorious for. We took her home the next day and she immediately claimed our bed for herself. Bio: She is very bright and needs a lot of activity to keep her occupied. She does well on the agility course and with solving problems. She likes going to the beech and will jump right into the ocean. She took to her new puppy-'sister', Nola, who arrived a year later, and the two are good friends. Especially since Nola ALWAYS lets Cayenne take her toys.
She is a typical Catahoula and is very protective of the house and property and does not appreciate people who walk through her yard. She can run for hours and loves to chase down other dogs like they are wild boar.
Her big claim to fame is she had a part in the Sling Duck commercial as the 'Confirmed Couch Potato' and the 'Challenging Chewer' which, ironically, she can do both at the same time. She dismantled this supposedly indestructible toy in short order (which does not appear in the commercial). Say 'hi' to her and make sure you ask for a 'Smoochie'. Forums Motto: Can I eat that?
