Arrival Story:
We adopted Charlie shortly after our 1st year wedding anniversary. We had my cat Louis and my husband was eager to get a dog. I knew my cat was a dog lover, I was hesitant to get a dog though just because I knew the adjustment would be stressful. One day my husband sent me Charlies pic when I was at work, I could tell by the look in his eyes he was going to be some trouble but he looked handsome and funny, so I said we could go check him out. We walked into the shelter and he went nuts, fur covered my coat. But who can leave a dog at a shelter? We took him home right away, all we knew was that he was about 3 years old and his mix. Later we found out he has seizures which shocked us, but we could never imagine life without him and he is a wonderful dog. Charlie and my cat Louis get along great, chase each other, fight over toys and lean on each other as they look out our front door, it's tender. So glad my husband found his posting and so glad I fell in love with him.
