"Hi Everyone! I’m Pink. I just wanted to let you know that I’m the awesomestest dog you’ll ever meet! I was given up by my family because I apparently chewed on everything, ran out the door any chance I got, was too high energy and, of course, because I’m deaf. I’ve been with my new family for some time now and I haven’t chewed on anything, don’t run out the door even when my sister’s being taken out for a walk before I am, wait patiently for my food and love to snuggle with my fur sister and take naps often during the day! Go figure! My new folks were actually quite worried that I’d be very difficult to take care of because of my handicap but they were pleasantly surprised! Now they tell everyone how very easy a puppy I am and that being deaf doesn’t keep me from living life to the fullest! They say they hardly even notice that I’m deaf coz I’m always watching everything that’s going on, which makes it easy for them to communicate with me using hand signals, facial expressions and nodding or shaking of the head. All I can say is, ‘I hear ya, I do!’, through my nose, my eyes and my heart. I am a very social being and get along with EVERY dog! I love, love, love to play! My Mommy keeps me from playing with little dogs, though, coz she thinks I’m too strong for ‘em. But she knows I would never ever hurt anyone on purpose! If you promise not to tell anyone, I’ll let you in on a secret… I’m in love! With a super cute, big, burly guy called Bobo! He’s a golden doodle (what a silly name for such a handsome guy) and we chase each other round and round the park and he even gives me kisses! *giggle* I also love sockses! A la carte or stuffed with feet! My folks find it too funny when I sneak up on them when they’re holding a pair they want to wear and I grab ‘em and run away! I give ‘em back, of course, but they have to chase me a bit first! Actually, that’s how I help them with their exercise ;) I also run away with my Mommy’s slipper when I want her to pay attention to me! I promise I haven’t destroyed it, really truly so! It’s a different story for just one pair of Daddy’s sockses, though… I was running around with them and my fur sister thought I was asking her to play tug and one thing led to another and… you get the picture, right? I really truly didn’t know sockses weren’t that strong… My folks say they are glad they picked me and would have adopted me had I not been a girl (LBR policy…). I make ‘em laugh, I make ‘em cry. I love ‘em with all my heart and more and ask for nothing but for them to love me back a little and accept me for who I am in return. I am looking for my very own family to love unconditionally and hope you’ll consider giving me a chance… like my foster family did. I promise you, you won’t regret it…you really truly won’t. "
