Arrival Story: We had Sammie 12 years before he left us...he was 16 years old. A few months after that I really missed him and decided it was time to adopt a new dog. I decided this time I wanted more than one and little dogs so they would be easier to pick up. At the local county shelter we came across this cage with two sweet dogs in it, one black and one white. They were both precious. When they opened the cage the white one came right to me, the black one rolled on his back ready to be rubbed! I stepped away a bit to see what would happen and the white one came right to me again. I decided to adopt her. Her owners had been contacted but they didn't want to pick her up and something in me just melted. People say things about Jack Russells but she was cuddly and sweet right from the start. When we got her home I noticed she kept getting rounder and figured out she was pregnant. 4 weeks later she had 4 puppies. We kept the firstborn and named him Bear (later changed it to SugarBear). She is still my little sweetheart and follows me around and still likes to cuddle.
