Anyone else getting love.
Any sock that didn't make it into the laundry hamper.
Anything - she loves to eat! Even watermelon and corn on the cob.
The water feature at the dog park.
She always knows to sit for treats.
Mandy and Bear belonged to a good friend of mine. They lived in a nice house with a big yard. They shared the house with my friend and her mother. Unfortunately, my friend's mother died very suddenly and my friend was unable to keep the house and had to move to an apartment. With her work schedule, she didn't think it was fair to keep the dogs in an apartment. And, since Mandy was already 10 years old, she didn't seem likely to be adopted from a shelter. Plus, Mandy and Bear had been together since Bear was about 6 months old, and my friend wanted them to stay together. So, we introduced them to Goldie, and everyone got along just fine. That's how Mandy and Bear came to live with me.
Mandy started life as a puppy-mill mom. She had 3 litters by the time she was 18 months old. That's when my friend adopted her and had her spayed. When Bear first came into her life, he tried to nurse and Mandy walloped him! She's been Bear's big sister and best bud ever since.
A lover, not a fighter
