Who wants a puppy? NOT ME

I guess I am getting old an grumpy cause I am tired of puppies. After all the foster care mom and dad do, and then we got Atlas. Ellie really is more like a teenager but she drives me crazy sometimes. Then when I do play with her she gets me in trouble. If am grumpy I get in trouble if I act like a puppy I get in trouble what gives? I guess I shouldn't have chewed up the couch cusion or the bed sheets or ok you get the point. Puppies make me misbehave! Hey can someone tell my mom and dad that I don't want to be a foster sister anymore. Don't get me wrong puppies are adorable and they taste good with all the food on their faces. However too much is too much. I have to share everything, food, beds, blankets, kids, mom and dad, chew bones, toys, and my yard! Good grief! I know I know don't be so grumpy, all those pups need homes too. OK so I got all that off my chest and I am ready to play. Bring on the pups! Not too soon!

My So Far Life.....

Yesterday Mom took me with her to work. I was so happy because usually she takes Wesley and I have to stay home with Dad. Her work is really kewl but very noisy. I layed around and drank lots of water. I got some really good food and got to meet the people she works with. After lunch we got in the truck and drove to this kewl Playhouse called PAWS. There were dogs and cats everywhere! I was just sitting there with mom minding my own business and this is where it gets scary so be warned. Someone comes and calls my name and tries to take me away from my mom. I didn't want to go with her. Mom walked with me and then she turned and left me! I was so upset. This really nice guy gave me a treat and out of no where I felt this sting, OUCH! Then another one! OUCH! I got another treat and then out of nowhere came another shot! This time it hurt for real! Then I got another treat and they let me go back to my mom. I forgot all about the shots! There were new dogs there so I said hello and sniffed some butts! There was an old cat there who was crying out in pain, I wanted to make sure she was okay but we had to go. Then there was a dog who lost his mom and dad and was very scared! Kimmy was going to a new home with some very nice people and so was this very handsome pointer but he didn't tell me his name. After that I got to meet some of Wesley's friends Jessie, Princess and her puppy, Yasmine, Sam and Duchess. They were all very kewl. Then I got to see my cousin Daisy and Scout. They just got two new sisters but they are not named yet. Then the day got even better! I got to see the horses and the donkey who is really playful and makes funny noises. Best of all I got to see my Beagle mommy! She is so sweet and she lets me play rough with her and win! Her sisters Little Bit and Piggy were out too but they don't play with me. Cody the cat rubbed on me and Loius Kitty was afraid of me. I had such a full day I slept all the way home and after telling Wesley about my day I went to sleep. I made so many new friends and I got to spend the day with my mom. Yesterday was the best of my so far life.

the day the Earth moved

The most amazing thing happened the other day while I was out digging in the dirt with Baby. The dirt started moving all by itself so I waited and all of a sudden this little head popped up. It was a tiny little turtle! Mom was so excited about it. She said I should get 100 bones for finding it. She also said if we found more she would give us 100 bones for each. I waited for the ground to start moving again for hours that afternoon. Nothing ever happened. I will keep looking I guess. Mom said there could be lots of those little turtles in the yard. I think I should ask the big mama turtle where they are. She can tell me where she laid the eggs. Usually when the Earth moves all by itself there is this small fuzzy creature mom calls a mole in there. I like to dig them up and play with them. They are pretty boring after a while so I let them dig back in the ground. Baby likes them too. Baby is so much fun to play with. She always has great ideas. She can even climb the fence. I wish I could do that. She's good at climbing and digging. I just like to run after Wesley and chew on things. I'm good at those things.

Sunday (4-17-05) Mom, dad, Wesley and me went to Petsmart. I have never been in such a place. It was great but I was a little nervous. I barked very loud to let everyone know I was there. Wesley rode in the buggy for a little while but he got too excited and jumped out. There were lots of strangers and other dogs. I sniffed a few noses but I am kinda shy in large groups. I saw so many toys and different kinds of food. Mom and Dad tried collars and harnesses on me. We ended up buying me a new harness it looks really nice on me I think. Wesley says it makes me look like a working stiff. Whatever that means. Any dogs thinking about going to Petsmart should go. There are toys you can play with and people who pet you all over. The children though, wow lots of children I love to lick them. They usually taste sweet like candy. I loved Petsmart, mom said we are going back this weekend to get Wesley a new collar and I can't wait.

Surgery????

Mom dropped me off this morning at this awful place called the vet's office. Don't get me wrong the people were nice and they loved on me. However, the other dogs in there they were whining and crying and barking, it gave me a headache. I missed my mom so much. Before I knew it I was sleeping and dreaming about chasing rabbits and my older brother Wes. Then I woke up and missed my mom still that was the worst part of it all. I was kind of groggy and I still can't walk around much. I feel kinda funny. Mom keeps telling me I will be back to licking in no time and be my old self again. I'm still my old self I'm just tired! What is this thing people keep talking about, surgery??? What is that and who does that? Mom said something about no puppies or having puppies. I don't know I'm so sleepy. I'm gonna go back to sleep. Wes is keeping me warm and comfortable so don't worry when I catch up on sleep I'll be back to my old self I guess.

New Pup Pals are golden

I am very excited about all my new pup pals. I hope I can get to know a bunch of new dogs this summer. Mom and Wesley say we are going to play at the beachpark and swim in the creek. What in the world is a creek? I hope it's fun. Wesley said something about suntan lotion and meeting girls. Is there anything to chew on at the beach/creek? Bath time involves water what makes mom think I will want to play in the water? I'm kind of scared. Will the other dogs there be as friendly as my new pup pals have been. I'm glad to see all of you on my page. I still get excited about seeing my own face online! Licking the screen is kind of yucky though. I'll make sure mom brings the camera along on our new adventures with warm weather coming. She said I have to go shopping at Petsmart first to get new water toys. Is there stuff to chew on there? We have to get new life jackets too. What are they? I think mom and dad are getting a little over protective. Do I have to wear a life jacket all the time? I'm confused.

I don't know what mutt means

As far as family is concerned she is purebred. She's very silly looking to some people however to us she's just a Shpeagle Her tongue is like Scooby Doo's, a mile long. She can reach a face from 6 inches away. She's just a pup so who knows how long or tall she may get. We'll see what happens. Her little older brother Wesley will make sure she learns all she needs to know about being a Florida dogster!
