Orion was an exceptional European Doberman Pinscher who was born in the High Tatry Mountains of Slovakia on January 13th, 2000. Carmen, his mommy, was there to deliver him personally and David, his daddy, flew over within a week to see our new boy. After a few weeks, we all then flew back to America where Orion lived a wonderful life with David and Carmen.
Orion always stood out in the crowd as a magnificent example of a European Doberman. He was all too ready to ‘ham it up’ with the many tricks he knew. Orion was a known for his love of people (especially children), his phenomenal obedience, friendly nature and his nutty antics. He loved running agility courses, jumping in water, being jet-streamed with a garden hose and, for some reason; he was obsessed with the sound of geese flying overhead… very cute!
After David and Carmen went their separate ways, a dual-custody arrangement allowed Orion to live part-time in Europe with Carmen and part-time in the USA with David. He’s a frequent-flyer and actually better traveled than most people! Orion got the best of both worlds so that he could always spend time with those whom he loved! Orion sired puppies in both USA and Europe so his magnificent physical and mental attributes continue to live on.
Orion passed away on July 28th, 2008 due to natural causes. During Orion’s life, he was well cared for by Dr. Lanier Orr of Orr Animal Hospital, Dr. Christopher Alvey of BridgeMill Animal Clinic, Dr. John Tarabula of Cherokee Animal Medical & Surgical Center and Dr. Karol Baranek of Poprad Animal Clinic in Slovakia.
Orion will be sorely missed and is more of a dog than anyone could have ever asked for… simply irreplaceable!
