She catches flies! and points out the existence of any other creepy-crawlies in the house so that we can dispose of them.
Arrival Story:
Zusa was found in a dumpster at 4 weeks old. We adopted her as a companion to Ruger when she was about 8 months old.
Bio:
Zusa has some trust issues. She's very responsive to her guardians but fearful with new people. She needs encouragement to venture out on her own at the dog park. She's happiest just romping through the woods & fields with Mom.
Zusa is a chewer! We often come home from work to find that she's chewed up something strange like sandpaper, an outlet face plate, napkins, plastic stuff, etc. Never eats it, just likes to chew - and yes, there are plenty of bones in the house! She used to be crated during the day, but we'd rather give her the freedom than have her stuck in the crate 10 hours a day. :) Her tail is the indicator of her mood - tail up and curled means she is feeling good or excited! She loves to chase her "bear" around the house. She is also a hunter; she stalks mice and birds outside like a cat (but to our knowledge has never caught them). I had a hard time keeping her out of a freezing stream once when she saw the ducks on the water!

It's winter, and it's wet and yucky. Mom doesn't want to go for walks, and I don't want to hang out in the back yard. There's nothing new to sniff, and Mom hasn't filled the birdfeeders so nothing to chase either.
THERE'S AN ANIMAL in the house! Mom says it's a stuffed ferret toy, but I know better. He stares at me, and I'm gonna get him one of these days when her back is turned! Grrr....
