"Dec 4, 2011 My foster mom and dad think I’m going to be an “above par” kind of dog, so they decided to name me Double Bogey. I’m really new to LBR and will be available for adoption after I get my second puppy shot. The nice vet made sure I’m a healthy guy and said I didn’t have any nasty worms at all, not even those that get in your heart! I just lost a baby tooth that most dogs lose around 8 months old, so I’m still considered a baby. I don’t think I’m a BABY, I’m just inexperienced. I’m learning that a crate isn’t so bad. I get to eat lots of yummy treats for going in like a good boy and I’m getting very fond of peanut butter Kong’s! I’m still learning how this leash thing works. Sometimes Mom wants to go one way while I want to go another. There are so many things to check out! Doesn’t she know you’re supposed to stop and smell the roses, and the dirt, and the fence, and the dogs next door, and anything else that pops up on our walks? I’ll get the hang of it, but she wants people to know that that part of my training is going to be considered a work in progress right now. One thing I pretty much have the hang of is this potty outside thing Mom and Dad seem to be so hung up on. As soon as I need to potty I give a little whine and will go do what I need to do outside (especially if Maggie and Mulligan come with me!). Now, I can give Mom or Dad two chances with the whine, but after that, it’s not a guarantee I’ll make it much longer. I’ve found it makes them happy if I can hold it and I get lots of happy noises and sometimes a treat for doing the potty thing outside, so I guess I’ll keep trying to do it like they want. If you’re looking for a typical boxer puppy that’s fun loving, easy going, and very active to join your family, I’d love to meet you ~ especially if it’s on a golf course! Until then, I’ll be dreaming of Pebble Beach and St. Andrew’s and waiting for my forever home! "
