It's important to fee loves and to do things you love, and here at the Dogs Trust I'm very lucky because I've got you.
I'm very fond of all my carers here, they're grrreat! Claire is my "cuddle monster", she showers me with hugs every time she sees me and I make sure I return her love with big, slobbery, Jakey kisses! I'll also seek out her lap to rest my head on, and when I look up at her with puppy-dog eyes, she knows that it's a scratch behind the ears I'm after!
I've made a new two-legged friend recently called Peter. He's my personal walker, and we get on like a kennel on fire! He often takes me to the beach, and I love running through the sand dunes with him.
I've been getting quite a bit of exercise so far in 2012, and my carers have put me on a healthy eating regime too. I was putting on a few winter pounds, it has to be said. But everyone's entitled to a day off though, and as it's Valentine's Day I'll be munching some nice treats this evening, mmmm, can't wait!

Hello, it's me Jakey!
Oooh I do love this time of year! One of the best things about Christmas is all the pretty decorations that go up in the Reception. Here at the Centre my human friends are a very cheery lot, and by the time December rolls around nearly every surface is covered in tinsel and sparkles. It mas me so happy that I can't help but woof in delight. WOOF! See? There I go again!
I've already written my list to Santa Paws and I'm excited to see what I'll get in my stocking this year. I've asked him for squakies, schmackos, pigs ears, jumbones, rawhide treats (I ADORE rawhide), dental chews...Oh dear, I hope he didn't think I was being too greedy. I just wanted to give him lots of choice just in case he got stuck!
There's going to be quite a feast on the 25th. My carer Suzanne has promised us all turkey and sausages, lovingly prepared by her Mum. I'm licking my chops just at the throught of Christmas Dinner!
My adoptive mum is the best Christmas present ever. Thank you for sponsoring me and being such a pawfect friend.
