Wood Dog, woodywoodywoody, Woody - No!, Oscar

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

July 17th 2003

The Lake and riding in Daddy's boat (only after Annie got him used to it), exploring in the woods; and his Daddy

jumping out of the back of the truck once the ride is over, not being able to actually break down the back door to see what's going on inside(he finally got it down though)

Favorite Toy:
anything that he can tear up

Favorite Food:
strangely enough - dog food; he was never offered anything else when he was a puppy and doesn't like the taste of anything else

Favorite Walk:
in the woods behind our house or anywhere that his daddy is going

Best Tricks:
sit, shake, and he'll run after a stick or a ball and bring it half way back - he gets bored with actually completing "fetch", he can hear his daddy's truck coming from at least a mile away and will go sit at the fence and wait on him

Arrival Story:
Kyle's (Woody's daddy) dog, Jake, had died in August, 2003 and he had always wanted a Choc. Lab. I found a guy who was selling them for pretty cheap and decided that I would surprise Kyle and take him to see the puppy's. Woody was the biggest puppy in the litter and immediately, Kyle fell in love with him. We went back a few days later to pick him up and he's been the light of his Daddy's eyes ever since.

Woody is a VERY hyper dog - the only person who he'll listen to is his daddy. He just looks at me like "you must be kidding, right". All in all, he's a very good dog and demands every bit of everybody's attention - even my 9 month old son. He can't stand it if we're outside and not playing with him. He has to sit right beside us and isn't happy unless you're touching him. We can't wait until it gets warmer and we can take everybody to the lake. We recently discovered that Woody loves trash - he won't stay out of it. I started calling him Oscar - just as a joke, but now everytime we ask my 9 month old "where's oscar" (on one of his toys), he turns his head towards the back door where Woody is usually sitting. Since then - Oscar has become a perm. nickname.

Hello All -

I don't know what got into my mom and my dad last night, but they actually let me come inside and spend the night. As much as I like being close to my dad, I was about to die being in the house. It was like 100 degrees or something. All this fat and fur - I was ready to go back outside when my dad got up this morning.

Anyway, mom took Annie for a ride and of course I have to stay at home all alone, but while she's gone, I'm gonna get some much needed rest. That way, I'll be ready to play when she gets back home.

Those crazy dogs finally made mommy mad enough and I no longer have to worry about getting enough to eat and once again, I can sleep in my own dogloo alone - it's gonna be glorious.

It's too bad though, because I was really starting to warm up to Tiger Puppy, but like Annie said, we are just waiting on this SOCO to come.

I hope SOCO isn't going to invade my space the way Tiger Puppy did....

Last night was rough for me - that darn Annie and Tiger Puppy kept me up all night long playing. Can you believe that I was just tryin' to sleep and when my daddy came outside at 2 am - I got in trouble too? Tiger Puppy and Annie are always gettin' me into trouble....
