Arrival Story: we were looking to add a friend/playmate to our family and for our toddler when our vet friend sent us puppies in adoption. We had our heart set on a beautiful chocolate female with hazel eyes but when we came to meet the pack of puppies the most friendly and fun loving puppy was our Botas. Our son chose him. He was not to shy and not to rumbuctious perfect for our lifestyle. We took him home to see how he would be away from his sisters and he has been with us ever since! we were told his mom was a Dalmatian, but after a vet checkup , we were told he will grow larger than a dalmatian..at 1 years old he is already 29 kg of fun and energy!

Bio: athletic and graceful - The immediate impression of a compact, hard-driving hunting dog, alert and "ready to let go.
He is even-tempered, congenial dog happiest living indoors as part of the family. He is affectionate and loyal. His aggression level is non-existent and he happily co-exist with other dogs and our cat. he is not territorial, although his size and bark will intimidate most people who come to the door. Botas is very good with children, although young children and a clumsy young Pointer are often not the best combination.
While Pointers were bred to be a hunting dog, he is perfectly content given adequate exercise in a non-hunting home. Since he is a galloping breed, regular exercise is important for him, as it is for all sporting breeds. A good sized, securely fenced yard is a must to keep a Pointer safe since he was bred to hunt a good distance from their person. When left for the day, he typically does best indoors but in Mexico he is more a yard dog. When inside he is habitual "couch potatoes" who enjoys relaxing on the family's chairs or sofas. This is a natural part of his desire to feel part of the pack.
