   Leave a bone for Chase-ADOPTED!!

Chase-y, Chaser

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Chase loves then neighbor kids almost most of all ... but he also loves food and is a hoarder of toys

Chase doesn't like to share his dinner with the other dogs but other than that he has no pet peeves

Favorite Toy:
Squeaky plush toys are his favorite

Favorite Food:
String cheese is up there for sure!

Favorite Walk:
So far he's only gone to the park and around our block...but any walk is a good walk for Chase

Best Tricks:
He was completely untrained when I got him and has learned how to sit, down, hand target, and even working pretty well on a loose leash walk

Arrival Story:
Chase was found stray in a very rural area by a really kind woman. She put up posters, called vets, called shelters, and had him checked for a microchip. She searched for his owners for a while without any leads. She had 3 cats who were attacking him so he had to live outside on a tether during the day (coming into a crate at night) and knew it wasn't fair to him so she contacted the rescue I work with to take him. I had space in my home for him so the rescue stepped up.

Chase is a 1.5 year old neutered male Corgi/Sheltie/?? mix. He has a lot of energy but it not terribly drivey or pushy and is a total sweetheart. If he receives an appropriate amount of exercise, he settles beautifully in the house chewing an antler or toy. He is GREAT with kids over 5, does well with other dogs (though he doesn't like to share food with them, something we are working on), and can live with dog-savvy cats (cats who will not run or panic around a dog). He came into rescue with zero training or manners but is being fostered by a professional trainer so he is learning new things daily. Chase is looking for an active family who are committed to his continued training (since he's at the beginning of his training). He would love a family with kids--have i mentioned he adores them! A fenced in yard is highly suggested as extended period of time on a tie-out resulted in some car-chasing behavior (which has since resolved itself with appropriate exercise and mental stimulation). He would love an outdoors-y family since he is so active and loves to spend time outside playing.
