Likes:
She is very playful, but extremely laid back for a pup! She likes to watch TV, a favorite seems to be watching WWE with 8 year old Mark. She also likes paper products---to shred! Diet coke, when she can knock one over, is also at the top of her list.
Pet-Peeves:
She seems to be afraid of the wind. And doesn't like when someone takes her "spot" on the couch!
Favorite Toy:
any kind of ball, and our 8 year old beagle Mystic LOL!! Callie also likes to sneak off with shoes, she has a collection of flip flops but seems to only like the left feet! She also likes sticks!
Favorite Food:
She has a medical condition and has to take meds so the turkey used to disguise it is a huge hit, but other than that she is an Iams dog!
Favorite Walk:
Callie was only willing to start walking on the leash several weeks ago. There is a nature trail walk she enjoys but it has big drainage tunnels built in that you have to walk thru, she won't go thru the tunnel so we have to carry her thru those!
Best Tricks:
Hogging the couch! She also likes to steal the roll of toilet paper off the hanger in the bathrooms, unravels it and will shred into a zillion pieces
Arrival Story:
Callie was adopted after being found curled up by a retaining wall on the freeway. She was very thin, full of fleas, and leary of people. It took her a little while to come around, but she is an AMAZING girl! She loves kids, especially the little ones. She is a little more "shy" when first meeting adults, but is coming around. Now that her trust has developed with us, you would think she has been here for months! The vet had put her age at about 4 1/2 months at the time she was adopted. We got to choose her birthhday which was fun...decided on May 23, Lucky Penny Day... And, yes, it really is...(we just found that out too!!! :)
Bio:
Callie is obviously a mix! She is part German Shephard and part something else (probably a mixed mix!)...One vet had said shephard/lab. I just don't see the lab in this dog, other than her love of water...clean or dirty, she loves it all!! Maybe a mix of Red Heeler? She is 25 pounds at 6 months. Any opinions are welcome!
