Arrival Story:
I have always been a dog lover -- especially a Yorkie lover!
I had a Yorkie, named Buddy, but moved to Florida so I had to put him in a foster home. When I came back from FL, I didn't have the hard to take Buddy from his foster mom. They both became attached. He was there for over 9 months. So, I was on the hunt for another Yorkie and looked on Craigslist. I like to rescue dogs because I feel good when I take the dog out of a bad situation and then give them a great life! I know lots of the dogs on Craigslist are not taken care of properly so I looked on there for a Yorkie that was for adoption. I looked for about 3-4 weeks to only find back-yard-breeders or brokers selling dogs for outrageous prices. But, finally, after searching for a long time, I came across an ad that had a Yorkiepoo for adoption. A Yorkiepoo is half Yorkie and half Poodle. I emailed the owner and talked to her for a while, and she agreed to let me adopt Lucky! He is an older dog that has been neglected :( He was confined to a small room, never had human contact, vet care wasn't up-to-date and he never got to go outside. So, since I have adopted him, he has been a GREAT companion! His old owner claims he would NOT go to the bathroom outside, no matter what. But since I have gotten him he goes out all the time! He hasn't had an accident in the house once! So I am glad that I get to give him the time, love and attention that he needs and deserves!! :) He is great! And I truly am 'LUCKY' to have him as my pet! :)
