My Splendid New Life

Nice to Meet You!

Hello Everyone! I'm Splendid! *wags tail*

My family adopted me from The Washington County Humane Society, the same place they adopted my sister Harley from! They took good care of me there.

When I came in to the shelter, I was very skinny and not feeling well. My son, Muscles, was there too. We were seized from our old owner, who didn't take the best care of us. At the shelter, I was fed well and gained some much needed weight. I was also "fixed"(I guess something was broken?), and put on antibiotics for my skin issues. They got me looking really good, I must say!

Well, eventually I was put on the adoption floor, along with my son Muscles. Soon, a very nice family came in that weekend to look at us dogs. As they approached my cage, I wagged my tail as hard as I could, and snorted a "hello" at them. I loved getting their attention. They talked to me, telling me how pretty I was, and how they loved my shiny blue coat. They visited me for a while, then moved on to see Muscles. I heard them talking about how they wanted a playmate for their dog at home, and how they wanted to give a home to another homeless dog. The shelter was about to close for the day, and I heard the family say that they would be back on Monday.

Well on Monday, they did come back! And asked to see me! I was so excited. One of the volunteers took me out of my cage and walked me into the "meet and greet" area, where my future family and my fur sister Harley were waiting. Harley and I hit it off really well, and the family loved me! They put in an application and was approved right away(since they had adopted from there not long ago), and I got to go home with them!

My new home is so wonderful. I get to play with Harley all the time, there's plenty of food, water, and toys to destory, and they give me awesome treats!

I love my new family and they love me. I'm finally where I belong.
