Arrival Story:
Penny was my first actual pet dog as a kid.. I was i think 7 when we got her, so she was my childhood dog. There was an add in the paper for a free dog that this couple was giving away.. they had another dog but said they didn\\\'t want penny anymore :( how cruel is that?! So we took her and gave her a good home... she stayed with us until her passing of cancer in the spring of 1999 :( God bless her soul, she was a good dog~

Bio:
Penny was a mix between Rhodesian Ridgeback, Lab, and shepherd. She was a big dog, and loved to eat.. she was also very STRONG... she used to make huge gaping holes in our backyard fence with her teeth! She used to love to go on runs with my dad, and even though she was mostly his dog, she still did love me and my mom and my sister.. She was quite independent and never cared that much for toys.. she had her grumpy days and wasn\\\'t the most playful dog, but we still loved her to death b/c she was ours and was a part of our family. I was devestated when I found out she had cancer and that there was no chance of survival... I know she is in doggie heaven now though and looking over us... God bless you penny.. we love you and miss you bunches~
