After waiting for a number of years a female I liked from TopFlite Papillons was finally bred and two pups were born. Alas the youngest one didn't survive beyond the first 12 hours so it came down to a singleton male pup. I had initially wanted a female but beggars can't be choosers so when it came time to check out the pup I jumped on the chance. After much discussion the breeder let me take him on a trial basis for 6 months to "grow him out" and see if he would fit in. Needless to say I am hooked on Quasi and will be his furever home no matter what!
Despite being a singleton pup and having some of the issues associated with it (such as no self-control & the inability to deal with frustration initially) Quasi has turned into my first 'non-issue' dog. He is super friendly to all he meets (be they the four-legged or the two-legged variety), has no fear or aggression issues, isn't sound sensitive, loves to tug and play, has a keen mind, has a sweet nature with a bit of the devil in him, and so far has been easy to house train. At 12 weeks he started lifting his leg to mark (thankfully outside only and on other dogs' markings) along with getting the name Humperdink for obvious reasons so needless to say he is very much a boy in every sense of the word and according to breeder friends a very early bloomer. LOL. Can't wait to see how he develops as the months go by.
