Arrival Story:
We lost our Ozzi (2010)and Abby (2011). Ozzi had diabetes and a spine problem and Abby had laryngeal paralysis. We only wanted to adopt special needs "children". We got Kobi from K9-Commitment in Bedford NH and then got Maggie from Pike County Humane Society In PA.

Kobi's Blindness

Hi,
Kobi was born blind. His mother probably had a virus which caused his blindness. He was doing very well until we took him to Angell Memorial Medical Center in Boston MA for his check-up. He had glaucoma and his pressure was very high. We went thru changes in his glaucoma drops and they worked for nine months. But recently the pressure went back up. So we were given a big decision of either to use an injection of gentamicin into the eye to kill all of the tissue behind the eye or to remove the eye completely. After getting all the facts, it was best to remove the eye so he wouldn't have any more pain at all. That was last Thursday the 3rd of November. I have posted a picture of Kobi's "pirate look". He is doing great and can't wait for the 10 days to go by so he can get this crazy collar off!!!!!
