Arrival Story:
Josie was raised in a puppy mill in Virginia USA and was going to be killed because she was too ill to breed from. Josie came to rescue at age 5 riddled with parasites and with serious neurological damage. Nobody wanted her but to me she was perfect. She saw a wonderful neurologist Dr. Knoeckel in Springfield, Virginia and she made amazing progress. She could never sit nor hold her head properly and she was virtually deaf but she utterly loved her life and was devoted to those who loved her. Josie came home to England with me in 2003 and thrived there continuing her neurological treatment at the Queen Mother Animal Hospital.
Bio:
Josie lived almost 2 years longer than anyone expected her to but her health problems caught up with her in the summer of 2004 and she died, fittingly for a papillon, in France, on 6th August. She is now buried there. Josie nestled into my heart and left pawprints on it forever. Those who didn't want her will never know what they missed.
