Early Christmas Present

We had an early Christmas present this year. Copper was in the US in November and finished his AKC Companion Dog obedience title (CD). He earned it with personal best scores and we had fun doing it too!

Now that snow is around the corner, we are taking a bit of a break from obedience trials and getting ready for the next level.

Obedience Title for Us

Two years and alot of work have finally paid off for us. Eventhough Copper came to our family when he was 1 1/2, he was very much like an untrained puppy. We had to start from scratch and learn obedience and erase bad habits.

July was a wonderful month for us. We completed our Canadian CD title with two 2nd in class and two High in Class. We even went across to Michigan to start our American CD. We have one of three qualifying scores for that too! We are going back to complete the title in September.

All I hope for is that the obedience rings aren't in a poultry and rabbit exhibit building. That is another story in itself!!!!!

Happy Trialling:)

Great Day!

Had a wonderful day with Copper at our obedience trial! He performed so well. Today was the first time he had ever passed the offleash portion of Novice A and we also got 2nd place! So now we only need to do that 2 more times to receive our CD title!
