Arrival Story:
Buddy showed up in the neighborhood one day and the more we saw of him, the more we realized he had lost his home. We took him in, cleaned him up, got him fed and made him a dog house for what we thought would be his brief time with us until we found his family. We put up posters, Internet "found" ads, checked with the local pounds and vets. No one came forward to claim him. Since we didn't know what his name was, the one we used in place [and he seemed to respond to somewhat] stuck after he official became ours; Buddy, and he sure is.
Bio:
It was amazing to find such a young, healthy Lab and watch him have no problems slipping right into our already large family of 2 Cockers and 2 cats. Buddy is the "protector" of the family, both human and furred. Although we are going through his puppy years, he is still very obedient, loyal and loving, even if we lose a sock or two to his chewing ways. We know he will be a wonderful lifetime companion and we couldn't have "picked out" a better dog!
