I saw Gracie's photo and an ad in the newspaper--she was up for adoption from a rescue group. I called right away and had to fill out the forms, go through the home visit, etc. but since I was the first to call, and I'd owned two dachshunds in the past, we were chosen to be Gracie's forever home. She was already housebroken and is just the sweetest, most playful, doxie I've ever met.
