Arrival Story:
I had spared some money (breed dogs aren't cheap) and thought I could have a dog now as I had dreamed for some time. I decided to pick the breed and breeder carefully and use a lot of time for that. I knew it had to be a herder (group FCI 1) and that my favourite breed Belgian Shepherd might not be a good choise right now because of its activity. A collie wasn't actually even on my list! I am a regular user on one forum and when I had made the decision to have the dog three rough collie breeders posted photos of their litters on the forum. I then visited one's websites and found a good description of the dam. I read it carefully and realized taht if a puppy of hers would be like her or the sire it could be quite suitable to be my dog. I hesitated for two weeks and then e-mailed the breeder. I got the last puppy, the breeder had hesitated to sell it to a family to be just a companion dog. I have an interest for agility and obedience. I visited the breeder when the puppies were 5 weeks old and three weeks later I took her home.
