Arrival Story:
I was asked by Paws and Claws to foster Greta in June 2004 because she has spay incontinence and they were having trouble getting her meds. regulated. After several dosing changes and combinations, we struck success. With her age and incontinence, she wasn't getting much interest from potential adopters. Since her and Buddy get along and she is so mellow and sweet, I decided to adopt her in January 2005. She is a wonderful addition to my home.
Bio:
During my week of vacation in June, I noticed Greta wasn't eating her kibble like normal and was really slow. On Thursday, she couldn't get up to go outside. Friday I took her to the vet where a large abdominal mass was discovered. Her rear end was so weak, that even with surgery for the mass, I wasn't sure what her quality of life would be so I made the decision to help her cross the Bridge. That was June 3rd. She is very much missed but she had a great year with Buddy and I in a home where she was loved.
