My Mom told me I could get a lapdog of my own. We searched at many places, but just couldn't find the right dog. Then, on the website of a Carlsbad animal shelter, we saw "female chihuaha mix; 7 months". Her web pic was SO adorable. So we went to meet her and see if she might be the dog for us. She was at the cage way at the end of the shelter, in which at first we only saw two younger chihuahas. Then she made her appearance, walked through the tunnel at the back of the kennel, and licked my hand from inside it. That was when I knew I wanted her to be my "Little Baby Girl", hence the name Baby. Since her adoption I have never been happier.
Bio:
Baby is a bandit, hence the nickname "Baby the Bandit". We found this out days after adopting her. She has taken socks, plush toys, slippers, toilet paper-you name it-and she has placed them in various places, such as her bed or outside.
Also, Baby is the most affectionate dog you will ever meet. It is what I love most about her. When I'm down, she'll notice and lick my face then curl up beside me. When I enter her presence she will stand up on her hind legs and put her front legs on one of my legs. And sometimes she will even lick me awake. She is just the sweetest (and funniest) dog you can possibly imagine.

It was a stormy night. Baby had a mission: To sniff out a bandit and take back what had been stolen. It was a big mission for a part chihuahua. But Baby wasn't afraid. She and her partner, Hayley, ran down the street. Finally Baby was getting very close to the bad guy. Then, they spotted him: A lean tall guy with a dark coat, a red scarf, blue jeans, and a ski mask. He spotted them, but only a half-second before Baby bit his leg, making him fall down and drop the case with the money. The hiding cops sprang out, took the bandit to jail, and returned the money to its rightful owner, and named Baby and Hayley Honorary Heros of the town. Baby and Hayley smiled at each other triumphantly, knowing that the two of them could face anything as a team.
