Leave a bone for D-O-G

Nicknames: Doggie, D-O-G oggi, Snow Beast, Puppy

Quick Bio:
Likes: Being left alone, eating food off the street, chasing cats, growling at Bella when she gets hyper, sleeping in the closet/dark spaces, being told he's handsome, eating, running at the beach (I think he wants to be a lifeguard)

Pet-Peeves: when people yell, taking pictures, when Bella's worked up, when Bella pee's in the house , nightmares of his previous owners, car rides

Favorite Toy: none

Favorite Food: anything edible, and some non-edible things

Favorite Walk: Fort Funston, San Francisco

Best Tricks: being a good dog

Arrival Story: D-O-G was a rescue my brother found on the street. He's naturally a skinny dog, but initially we thought he was malnourished. His beautiful honey coat was muddy and matted, and my family first thought he was mean (he has an underbite and it looked like he was growling). They took him to a groomer, and found underneath all that crud was a handsome boy, one who must have once had good owners, who trained him to go outside, but also must have argued a lot and hit him, or both. He's deathly afraid of arguing and yelling, and sleeps underneath the bed, in closets, and under desks. He didnt' bark in our house until about 2 years in to his residency. We thought he was mute! He now rules the house, tracking mud into my mom's bed, but never getting into trouble.

Bio: We thougth when we first brought Bella home, he might go mean, so we were very careful about making sure he knew he was alpha dog, always feeding him, greeting him, and petting him first. He at first seemed to not like Bella's childish ways, growling at her when she'd get stir crazy or giving her dirty looks when she used to have to go pee on her pad, but eventualy grew to tolerate her. Seeing how we would cuddle and baby Bella, he opened up a lot and was able to let us lift him up or try and cuddle with him, without bouncing away (like before). It wasn't until she moved away, he realized how much he missed her, and would bark or try and make noise to fill the void. He's a good boy, who loves and misses his little sister very much.

i usually don't talk a lot. i've had some bad owners before i came to my new family, so i try not to get attached.
the family i'm with now is ok. they like to cuddle with me, and force me to go to a big park where i'm sure they want to abandon me, but they always bring me back home, so i'm used to it now. i just don't like when other dogs smell around me.
generally, i like living where i live now. everyone leaves me alone, walks me and gives me treats.
my sister just left to go back with her mommy, and i kind of miss her.
she was annoying, you know how little sisters are, but for the most part, we had a good time.
i would pretend not to like her when other people were around, but when everyone would leave in the day, i'd let her nap near me and whenever i heard something, she'd always get my back and bark with me.
i miss my little sister, who doesn't really know what is like in the real world, but doens't know any better.
we have good owners now, so it isn't THAT bad, but the house sure is quiet now...
