We looked at three dogs-the first pulled his linebacker sized handler down the hall, the second was a shell shocked looking retriever, the third emerged from the pile of dogs in her kennel and leaped over their heads to get my attention. Bone skinny and dirty, she blossomed into a loving lovable muscular lapdog.
