Arrival Story:
My husband says Ren's new sister, Mischief, is too much *my* dog, and started combing petfinder. He fell in love online with a dog that Animal House Rescue named Muttlee. Ahresuce.org had him turned into them after someone found him running down the middle of the road. Whatever his background, he came to us as an already well socialized and housebroken dog that still has quite a bit of puppy in him. After Mischief gave her seal of approval, he was offically made the newest member of our family.

New Experiences

Oh my, it's been awhile since I've written, and so much has happened. I've been on my first camping trip. Man was that fun. It took me a minute to figure out that I can't go out just any wall of the tent, but I'm a quick learner. And I was with my family the whole weekend and ate beef chunks cooked over an open fire. The whole weekend was full of smells.

Also I'm starting my second round of Class. Class is where I go with my humans and spend time getting fed treats. Mom took me through most of the first round, but Dad took me yesterday. He's been around more in the afternoons, so that's more fun. I'm learning all kinds of things, like stay, come, watch, and heel. I'm also learning that sometimes I have to pay attention to Mom and Dad, even when what I really want to do is play with the other dogs in class.

I've also had play dates with Anka and Izzie, and play about every day with Mischief.

Oh, my goodness, my family wore me out yesterday! Playing with Mischief and tug and fetch with Dad and training with Mom and Dad at different times and a 12 mile hike with more smells than I could handle. I think I could sleep all day today. Just kidding, let's play!

Home time

So, I've been doing my best to get used to this new place, new routine. I've been paying close attention to Mom, Dad and Mis, trying to figure out how to fit in here, what's expected of me. I'm learning fast. I already knew the bathroom is outside, so that part's not hard. I know which room is the "play room," but sometimes Mischief and I play upstairs, too. There's this little blue thing that makes a happy little click, and when that comes out, I know it's treat time! Sometimes I have to figure out how to get it to make noise and give treats, though, but it's really fun, and if I can get it to work once, it'll usually work next time, too. I like it when everybody is around. If any of my new pack leaves (even just the room), Mom, Dad or Mischief, I'll have to whine about it a bit. I'm only ever alone for a little while each day, though, so that's not too bad. I like dinner time (the food is awesome here!)and walks, too, and also car rides. Okay, so there isn't much I don't like, so far.
