Arrival Story: We were originally at the breeders on our third visit to interact with the puppies and had already picked a heavier, calmer male in the litter. As we were leaving we saw Happy(the smallest of the bunch) running around the water bowl keeping the others at bay. In the end they all tried charging the bowl but she stuck her two front paws into the water and again repelled their advance. We were also told by the breeder that she was the only one in the litter to be able to open the latch on the bunny cages. At that point I knew I had to get her.
Bio: She's 12 now and unfortunately in May of this year she got lost for 2 weeks. She survived for the 2 weeks in a storm drain and was consequently bitten on her tail and had to have 2 segments amputated on top of losing 12 pounds. When they found her she was down to 20 pounds from 32 pounds.
Earlier in the year a small tumor was found in her back right paw and after 2 months of doctors visits they finally had to amputate one toe.
She recently moved from Los Angeles to New York with me and is loving it, meeting all the other dogs and endless things to sniff.
