Arrival Story:
The Humane Society of the Ozarks found Marty roaming the parking lot at an elementary school upon arriving in a small town in Arkansas after a tornado. He was clearly a town stray, severely neglected and needed medical attention. He was covered in Demadex mange and he was in so much pain, he could barely walk. He had lost all of his hair, due to the mange and his skin was bright red and there were sores on his face that were bleeding. The HSO team rescued him that day, so he could get the medical attention he needed. Marty has fully recovered, and is doing very well. We initially decided to foster Marty, since he is such a lovable and sweet pup, and then decided three months later, that he was already a part of our family, along with our three other dogs. We are so lucky to have Marty in our lives, and are grateful to the HSO for saving his life!
