Arrival Story:
Preface to arrival story: I have always loved pugs. I don't know why. I'm not even sure what first drew me to them, but I had loved them since I was 18 years old (I'm way past that now). Everyone who knew me knew about my fascination with pugs. I had pug calendars all over my home and office for years. Arrival Story: One day, a co-worker who had seen my pug calendar asked me if I had a pug. I said I didn't, but that I really loved them and would love to get one. She let me know all about her 8 pugs (yes, I said 8 pugs) and how great they were. A couple of months later, she came to my office to tell me about an Amish farmer near to where I live who had pugs for sale. The price that she said was being asked for them was kind of prohibitive, so I tried to forget about it. And since she didn't have a way for me to contact the farmer (no phones) and just vague directions of where he lived, it was kind of easy to put it out of my mind. But about a week later, my husband and I had to renew our drivers licenses, and the DMV here is on the road to Centre Hall, the town the Amish farmer was from. I asked my husband if he'd be willing just to go for a drive down the road to see if we could find the farm my co-worker had told me about. He was willing, and we'd about given up finding the place when we saw a roadside bakery stand. We decided to stop and get something to eat. Just for fun, I asked the Amish lady behind the counter if she knew of an Amish farmer around there who bred pugs. She said, "Why yes. We have puppies right now. " Here, they were the farmers who had the puppies for sale! My husband and I went back to the house and saw a bunch of Amish kids playing with three pug puppies. We sat down to play with them, and they showed me which pug was still available. It was love at first sight. We ended up taking Willoughby home with us that same day.

Bio:
Willoughby "Princess Pugalicious" was born on March 13, 2004. She was born Amish, but has learned to adapt to a more materialistic lifestyle. She has two cat(ty) stepsisters, Barnum and Bailey, who really aren't too fond of her, but she's trying to get into their good graces. She loves long walks, sleeping, snorting, sneezing, wheezing, and being the center of attention. Her life is now spent as a traveling pug due to her folks deciding to become full-time RV'ers.

Has It Been A Whole Year?

I can't believe it's been a whole year since I wrote in my diary. Well, it's my birthday again. I'm four, but I don't feel a day older than 3 and a half. I'm in Albuquerque again for my big day, but we're heading to Alaska soon. I like it there, even though the mosquitoes are almost big enough to carry me off. Well, if I don't write more soon, I'll make sure to again on my 5th birthday.

I'm This Many

It's my birthday today, and it was grrrrrrrrr-eat! I didn't get any new toys or anything because Xander would just destroy them, but my mommy and daddy baked me a big, yummy cake, with icing, candles and everything! I licked all the icing off first, and then ate my cake. My bone-head brother, Xander, ate his in about three bites. Sheesh.

But now I'm stuffed and tired, so I guess I'll go to bed. Happy Birthday to me!

One Dull Dog

I wish I had funny stories to tell like my cousin Tohbi with all his adventures, but my life is just not exciting right now. I did try to eat this other dog's face today, but even that wasn't all it could have been. I was pulled off him before I could do any real damage. I don't know what all the fuss was about. The dog's owner knew I was cranky in the mornings.

Other than that, I haven't done much of anything lately. My mom is working all the time, and it's been really cold here with lots and lots of snow, so I don't even get to run around at my grandparent's house with Chamissa and Coco very often. Ho hum. I'm getting to be a little pug dumpling what with all this inactivity. It's a good thing I have Xander to wrestle with, or I'd be a real Jabba the Pug.

We'll be heading off in another month and a half, and we're heading to Alaska, so hopefully I'll have some stories to tell in a little while.
