Poem about me

this is a very nice poem which my wonderful owner Dawn wrote about me after i had went to the Rainbow Bridge -

Tanya

There once was a dog of strength, bravery and playfulness…

She had a cold wet nose, a chocolate brown fluffy coat and a long waggy tail.

When I was born she was nearly a year old and was excited about my arrival.
Slowly as I grew, this fluffy wonder taught me the aspects of life and guarded my every move.

She was a guardian angel and a best friend, so much more than just a dog.
There was not a single bad hair on her body.
She was my world and that world fell apart when I heard she had cancer in her leg bone.
I thought I would lose my baby…
Luckily there was a way to save her - amputate her leg.

In March, Tanya became 1 leg less but it didn’t affect her - She was a fighter.
She was still my wonderful, friendly guardian angel even with only 3 legs!

She walked this world for only 5 more months before the dreaded cancer struck again in her lungs and took my love away.
With a lick to the hand and a quiet whimper, she left our world after 15 years of devoted loyalty & never-ending friendship.

I know she is still watching over me, my darling Tanya, and is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
Her youth restored and playing happily with her doggie friends until I meet her there.
Then we will cross the Rainbow Bridge to our final resting place, together again forever.

unfortunately i got put down today because the 'fluid' inside my lungs was actually blood. that horrible cancer struck again! my owner were very sad but i thank them for making the difficult decision of putting me down as i am now no longer in pain!

well i had an xray today and unfortunately i have alot of fluid round my lungs. they are draining it all away tomorrow and then taking another xray to see if the cancer has hit my lungs. my owners are very upset! i hope everything turns out ok, i guess we will just have to see what happens tomorrow!

hope you are all well unlike me :-(

i have got kennel cough unfortuantly. i have to take some tablets but luckily dawn mixes them in with my food and i dont taste them. i have to go back to the vets on friday for a check up. hopefully it will go away soon!

oh my gosh did any1 see the worlds ugliest dog the other day in the newspaper. he was really scary, sorry to say. here is a link to a forum which my owner posted the topic on. it has some info and a pic

heya everyone!

well it has been so warm over here recently and 2 days ago we went to the beach! it was so much fun and really warm. there were lots of other doggies there so i had lots of friends to play with in the sun, sand and sea! My pets all came and they brought a picnic, they also had a bone for me which i gobbled down in 10 seconds and went off to play with my new friends. i met loads of new friends, all different shapes and sizes. 1 was Scobby a great dane, he was only 6 months old but was like 3 times the height of me. he was kool but very playful and knocked me over a few times haha! another friends and the 1 i liked the most was Lady a border collie. she was just my size and we had lots of fun chasing each other around the beach and jumping in the waves together. She doesnt live near me though but hopefully we will meet again sometime. my pets told hers about Dogster so hopefully she will come on this and we can talk again. Well over all it was such a fun day and when i got home i flopped straight down onto my bed and fell asleep (as my latest pic showed) from all the running about i had done!

well i got my fur cut on saturday and as you can see from my last pic it is all gone!! dey took it all off! i look so different i think and so do my pets! its alot cooler now though which is good! it was very nice at the hair dressers, they pampered me. hehe! it was fun

i have been very busy lately so i havent been on here in a while. well since i last talked to you i have been on a few days out with my pets. also Dawn's new rabbits Petal and Frisky have been diggin holes all over the garden. the dig holes in their run even though they have toys and all. also dawn got me a new tag which has diamonds on it with my name and phone number. its very fancy and makes me seem very posh. i was showing off the day i first got it and didnt want to get it wet so didnt go in the river but dawn only puts it on me now when we go out somewhere not on walks incase i get it dirty or the diamonds come off.

heya every1, hope every1 is doin grand!

well it was Dawn's birthday yesterday (the 15 june) and she had a BBQ and brought round about 6 of her friends and some of the rest of the family arrived like cousins and grannys and granda's. it was so fun, i got so much attention and lots of treats from the BBQ and some sweet stuff too. there was so much food and lots of people. i got sausages, burgers & chicken from the BBQ and i had some sweets too, i probably wasnt meant to get any but nobody could resist my sweet face (hehe)! i also got some ice cream with chocolate sauce too. haha 1 of dawns friends dropped it so i licked it before they could pick it up again haha. it was so nice, luckily she got another 1 and i didnt get shouted at!
anyway it was very fun and i loved it so much - oh she is also having a sleepover with 5 of her mates this saturday so that means more sweets and attention for me, woo!!! haha i cant wait

heya everyone, hope you are all fine and well!

guess what on friday, dawn brought home 2 rabbits!!! they are so small and very playful. dawn called them Rose and Petal. they have to stay in a run unfortunatly :-( but i still play with them in the run. they run around the run with me and they put their tiny noses up to mine. dawn says maybe whenever they are bigger than can come right out and play with me :-) for now though dawn has a harness and lead for them which she brings them out on. i actually thought they were going to come on walks with me but they have to stay in the garden. anyway i thought i was going to get left out a bit when they brought them home but luckily nobody has!

well i have been doing quite well on my 3 legs recently but except for 1 bit on the wooden floor. i have been slipping on this 1 bit coming out of the living room and it has started to frighten me. i dont want to walk over and whenever i do i try to walk over it faster which then makes me slip even more! only my pets got some mats to put down for me. they are bigger than normal mats at the door though and are like carpet. this stops me slipping luckily and now i walk over them now so i am still tryin to get over my fear of it but my pets are helping me overcome it step by step!

yesterday my pets took me to their grannys house. well we had fun there. Vinney their dog was there and we went down to the park and had fun running about on the grass and stuff. vinney was quite surprised that i can still run as fast as usual. oh and you know what - vinney is a guide dog, he helps his pet around because he is blind. vinney is very good when he is in his harness but loves to run around like a mad thing like me when off it!

heya every1! the bbq on friday was great and very yummy :-) i got a bit of most things which my pets and their friends ate. some burger, sausage, pork and steak, oh and the younger ones toasted marshmallows over the bbq until the melted a bit and one of the kids held it over too long and it fell over the stick so i got it. it was so sweet, well it was hot at fast but i let it cool for like 5 secs before i couldnt resist it any longer! we were outside most of the time since it was nice and sunny. the adults just sat their and talked to each other (boring or what like?) but the kids they were playin games like volleyball, chasies, dodgeball, tennis and all, now that was fun. so i hung around with them tryin to play with them but i mostly got in the way on them. i actually tripped dawn up while she was running as i ran in-front of her and she fell over me. it was veru funny, me and her in a big heap on the grass while everyone laughed at us. so it was a very fun night and i was very tired after it and went alsleep with a lovely full tummy and fun memories!

and you know what i found the other day? some dogs on this live in belfast which is about 20 mins away from me! i thought all the dogs lived in another country or really far away from me. maybe i will see some of them one day!

heya everyone! well today has been nice and sunny and my mommy took me down to the park and she played football with ryan and her mates. i just wandered round for a while, playing with other dogs and then i just came back down and sunbathed for a while. only then do you know what happened? i went over to get a cuddle from dawn and ryan kicked the ball at me (he says it was an accident and so did dawn but i know it wasnt, he was targeting me!! shame on him seriously! actually i think it was an accident but anyway) well after that i just went back to sniffing around for a while. then when ever we were leaving a dog (a whippet i think dawn called it) came down and was running round the field really fast. she was so kool, i would love to run as fast as her, i have seen her before i think.

well so today was very fun, sunbathing was the best and of-course i looked so beautiful (all the guys were drooling over me, i know they were! hehe)

oh yes i know what i over-heard dawn talkin to her daddy about? we might be having a bbq tomorrow! i love bbq's, i always get some bits of sausage or burger. yum yum.... !! i hope we do have one

well once i get off this hopefully dawn will give me my dinner, im very hungry right now! lots of love Tanya xo
