It had been 6 years since my old dog passed away and after years of begging my mom finally agreed to getting another dog. After months of searching and to no avail I was about to give up when I met Lucy.
I am a vet tech at Muddy Branch Veterinary Center and we do spays and neuters for the humane society. I went to the back and saw this little face looking at me and I fell in love. Lucy and her sister Lizzie were being spayed before they went to their foster home. I carried Lucy around with me all day that day. When the man came to take her to her foster family, I began to cry and beg him not to take her and let me take her home. (I was scared to death that someone else would adopt her before I could, for I was going out of town the next day.) He gave me her foster mom's number and I called her right away. The next week after we came home we adopted her, It was the best day ever!
Lucy is the most calm and laid back puppy except when she thinks that someone is breaking into the house then she goes crazy baying and barking. We think she is a Labrador Retriever, Basset Hound, Border Collie mix but she is absolutely the best dog you could ever ask for.
