Arrival Story:
Meet Alfie! Alfie is a four-year-old white Boxer male. He is deaf but it doesn't slow him down a bit! Alfie is learning sign language, and already knows the signs for sit, stay, eat, good dog, bad dog, and down.
Alfie gets along with older children, and does great with other dogs. He has not been cat-tested. Alfie is house-broken, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash.
Alfie, is a gentle, affectionate, sweetheart of a dog with a big grin. Because he was in a crate most of the time in his prior life, he was lacking in social skills with other dogs and humans. He now loves to play outside with his foster brother and sister, and he has learned to wait and sit for food and treats instead of pushing his way in front.
He is learning the sign for down when visitors come and understands the sign for bad dog. He craves much attention and loves to be petted. He has keen eyesight and will bark if he sees someone outside of the house or fence, but is not aggressive when someone walks in the house.
Alfie will do well in a single or multiple dog home. He loves the attention children give him and any one-on-one attention he receives.
