Arrival Story:
We wanted to get a wife for our Boston Mickey. After searching for months we saw an ad in the paper for 3 month old pups. It was a long drive but it was worth it. After getting to the location the elderly couple had two females left. One of the females was active and very friendly the other cowered beside the lady. The active pup had one blue eye which we had never seen before and the shy pup had a half white face. After spending thirty minutes trying to decide on a pup I decided that the more friendly pup with the blue eye would be a better choice. We paid for the pup and left. After the 2 hour drive home we had named her our blue angel. We pulled in the drive and our teenage daughter ran outside and told us the lady had called several times crying saying that she had made a mistake and wanted us to trade for the other puppy. She had said that the puppy would go blind but we had figured that she had bonded with the puppy and was hurt. We traveled back to her house and two hours later we were back on our way home with the shy puppy. She shivered in my arms. You could tell that she was scared to death. My daughter and I talked to her softly and urged her to be more friendly. My sister told us to name her Pookie because she was so sweet and quiet. When my husband came home she would run behind the sofa. This went on for a couple of days until I decided that my husband and Pookie were going to bond or else he would have to leave. I sat him down in the middle of the floor with a bowl of ham. My children and I went into the kitchen and closed off the pet gate so Pookie had no choice but stay with my husband. After pitching her a chunk or two Pookie realized that the big scary man on the floor had food. Slowly she inched toward him. After about 20 minutes Pookie was in his lap. Now the most important thing in Pookie's life is her Daddy (with or without ham)

Santa Clause came and filled our stockings with goodies and toys. I really don't care about the toys cause I will just have to find a place to hide them from everybody. I love the yippiee sticks though. They are the best treat ever.
