Arrival Story:
Luna was found heartworm positive in a rural Texas town, then sent to a foster home down in Hueston. When we drove down and saw her in her crate at Petsmart, she seemed so calm and quiet that I thought training her would be a piece of cake. I thought again when she exploded out, barked at other dogs, and dragged me into the parking lot. :p

Bio:
Luna is half tough blue lacy and half wuss. She's so gentle with people; never jumps on them or steals food out of their hands. She's very sensitive to correction; for the majority of the time I owned her I (ill)used pinch collars and dominating tactics, which really killed our relationship and her will to work and learn new things. The other half just wants to fight other mammals. This is a big problem as she will rush to another dog hundreds of feet away and fight with it. Thankfully, she has never injured or killed anything. Her bite inhibition is too great- once I was bitten in the heat of battle with another dog and barely felt it, she was the one who got hurt in all the other serious fights (though she held her own until the "Enemy" was out of sight) Luna is a really big challenge to own in suburbia, but at the same time she is a lovely dog and a great blessing to me
