Likes: Abel likes when I come home from work or pick him up from day care more than anything. He actually smiles and shows me all his teeth when he is really happy.
Pet-Peeves: He hates when I tickle the hair between his toes when he is sleeping.
Favorite Toy: Abel has a stuffed lion that his cousin got him on his adoption day, he sleeps with it every night.
Favorite Food: Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream
Favorite Walk: Abel LOVES walking on the beach! He lives to chase sandpipers into the ocean.
Best Tricks: Abel's best tricks are those I haven't taught him. He is very smart and will figure lots of things out on his own. My favorite so far is jumping through the screen on my storm door to escape the rain.
Arrival Story: As with most rescue dogs, Abel's story is a mystery. He was picked up as a stray and brought to the pound in Greenvale MO where he stayed for a short time until his "time was up". Luckily a rescue stepped in a pulled him in the nick of time! I found the little bugger on petfinder and the rest is history. I was told he was between a year and a year and a half when I adopted him; after close observation and lengthly debates with co-workers (I work at an animal hospital) we have concluded he was approximately 8 months old when I adopted him.
